11/2  Only 3 Camera Phone Pictures per Month

Category: Moblogging    By editor at 10:27
Eleanor quotes in Best (photo) blog ever the post I did about Japanese consumers sending out only 3 photos per month.

I think as long as you do not have something like a Moblog, I wouldn't send out more than 3 pictures as well. It has something to do with the difference between MMS (picture messages) and SMS.

An SMS works like a telephone call - it resolves a current problem and has not much value after being sent out. Some exceptions - a SMS love letter for example;) - prove the rule.

A picture message on the other hand, has normally a long lasting value. We are accustomed to make and keep pictures - their value rather increases than decreases over time. Even if the photo quality is still low, a MMS is still more a digital photograph, than a SMS.

A personal moblog - considered as your brain "and" your emotions on the web solves the problem of loosing your pictures - it's more than the digital equivalent of the old-fashioned photo album we all know from our youth.
