Funny, just at the same time that the iPhone comes out;)
The Google phone will be hitting European markets this week and will be priced between $300 and $400.Via Forum Oxford
"LG Electronics, the world's fifth-largest cell phone maker, unveiled a new model Wednesday, which offers the full services of Google, the global No. 1 search engine."
LG said the handset, dubbed LG-KU580, will hit European markets including Italy and France this week with a price tag of somewhere between $300 and $400.

- first time all 3 google major applications, search, email and maps, incorporated into phone
- MP3 player
- 2 megapixel camera
- Video phone
- Bluetooth

Yeah, but I don't think it will be main action by Google.
I belive Google's main mobile action will be with iPhone.
The deal with LG was announced few months ago, so it was expected.
But once is clear, LG could be phone for the time been to be adopted among those nervouse european users waiting iPhone.

Thanks Zec for your good point. We will soon see what Google does on the iPhone.
At least it is clear that Google is trying to conquer the mobile space as well and will therefore not make exclusive deals with one or the other handset manufacturers.
It will be interesting how long it takes till the handset manufacturers are starting to decline to have Google stuff preinstalled on their phones.
