News reports claim that DoCoMo is ending its ties with 3 UK in a move that would leave it free to partner with another UK cellco. 3's failure so far to adopt i-mode in the UK has been a bone of contention with DoCoMo for some time, with the operator warning in September that if 3 UK did not commit to i-mode it would "look for another opportunity in the UK."
