Sadly the japanese characters do not work with my phone. Does anyone know how to get the japanese characterset on a 6630?

There are a few hacks out there which involve replacing the system font with a Japanese one. You can either search for this font on Japanese mobile blogs or grab it yourself of the Japanese S60 SDK.

I've tried and it works with some apps but not all and doesn't offer any Japanese input ability.

Recently I came across what looks to be a much easier way to add Japanese localization but I haven't had the chance to test this as my only non-Japanese S60 mobile uses S60 v3 and isn't supported:

Thanks Kyle

Here is the direct link from Psiloc to the SIS File.I'll try it out.

I've downloaded it, but it doesn't seem to work. Installation went fine. It tells me that Katakana or Hiragana is enabled, but I still get nothing useable.

Bad:(

I heard it work only on S60 V2.

I've psiloc japanese localization ver 1.53 installed on my nokia 6630. The hiragana & katakana did work but the Kanji won't work. However, I haven't register yet.
Did anybody have the serial number??
