07/11  QR Codes in Germany (I): Scan and go shopping

Category: QR Code, Data Matrix...    By editor at 00:36
The roman one is not completely true, as there have been already several QR Code projects in Germany as for example Staatstheater Darmstadt (I'll come back on the newest developments in roman two), Jost van Brandis as well as Spex.

For this post, I want to talk about a very cool idea from Rezeptor, the Zeit Food Blog.

For some time now, you will find underneath every recipe a QR Code. What is it for?
Very simply and ingeniously - and at the last mobile tagging seminar together with Ringier and Swisscom women adored this - the QR Code gives you the ingredients as a simple text list. You don't need to connect to the internet and you don't have to write the ingredients down or print them. Just scan the QR Code and go shopping. Fun and convenience, as they say in Japan.
