Reading the resume of this episode, I experienced some kind of a flash back: in 2002 it was pretty much the same with blogs. ...Blogs and the dark side of mankind are intertwined.... uuuuuhhh, ghoulish, isn't it?
Now it's the QR Codes. Well at least that gives us some kind of timeline till we have a full breakthrough in the US ;)

On the other hand, the scenarists played well with the QR Code + Geocaching infatuation. And somehow it also reminds me a wee bit of DokoDare ;)
Chio* started today with QR Codes on the Chips package. After Pepsi, this is the second case of extended packaging, a subject also dear to GS1. That black and white chequered board thing that you have seen on your Pepsi Max and here, is a QR Code and put simply they get you quicker access to cool stuff on your mobile without the fiddly hassle of thumbing away on your mobile. Just scan the code . . . et voila – that’s what I am talking about.

Discussing recently the sale of Budweiser to InBev as the symbolic beginning of the current crisis and watching The Wire (highly recommened throughout) from season one to five, this spoof hit something besides all the other reasons you can watch it for.
MindMatics AG is launching the first European-wide campaign via Mobile QR Mosaic posters for the launch of the Electronic Arts game, SPORE. Initially, mosaics composed of characters from SPORE along with around 2000 selectable QR Codes will be deployed on large posters on advertising columns in Munich, Cologne and Hamburg. For the first time, codes with additional links were fully integrated into the poster's design theme.
By the end of November 2008, young buyers in particular will have been targeted. Through the QR Code Mosaics, several passers-by can find out more information about the new game via their mobile phone at the same time. Passers-by scan the QR Code and a link is then sent to their mobile phone for the EA Portal, where they can find more information about SPORE and download a voucher for the game.
